Disney World, Casinos, and Advent

If you’ve ever been to Disney World, you may have noticed that all the rides have one thing in common. At the end of each ride, there is no way for you to immediately get back into the open, where you’re allowed to roam around and look for another ride. Before you can do that, you have to walk through a gift shop. The end of each ride is set up so that you are forced to exit into a gift shop.

What do Catholics Have in Common with The Incredibles?

IncrediblesOne of the top ten movies on my recommendation list for Catholics is The Incredibles.  Produced by Pixar Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures in November 2004, The Incredibles won two Academy Awards and was the first entirely animated film to win the prestigious Hugo Award for Best Dramatic Performance.

A Tipping Point

During the past few weeks there’s been an increase in the amount of calls to my law office from people who are in financial distress.  There’s a certain segment of the population that’s up against the ropes financially – people who are looking for a simple solution to their complex problems.
