An Eternal Contract

In the mid-1980s, I taught a Business Law class at Illinois Central College (ICC).  One of the areas of law that was covered in the class was contract law.  I taught my students that there are four conditions that are necessary in order for a contract (or agreement) to be legally valid and binding.  The four conditions are:

A Life of Love and Enthusiasm

One of the greatest benefits of growing up in a large family and raising seven children of my own was that there were always young children around the house.  No matter how frustrating life got, I could always count on a baby or young child saying or doing something that would put a smile on my face.

Is Suffering Evil?

Last Monday while I was in the adoration chapel, a former client of mine, Mary Grace Schneider, arrived for one of her weekly holy hours.  I noticed that there was something different about her, but it didn’t register in my brain until she asked me to pray for her.  That’s when I realized what was different.  She had walked into the chapel without a brace or other walking device, something she had not been able to do for several years.
